Artist's Bio

My name is Frank Bono and I am an artist. I am 17 and I am a senior at Herricks high school.
Over the past few years, I have been involved within many artistic mediums. These include, Musicals, Choir/Chorus and Works in Film. Art plays a very important role in my life. I use art as a way of entertainment, for myself and for the people who care enough to listen.
First, my involvement in film in school and outside of school. I had an internship at a real T.V. station "Public Access TV" and worked there over the years I was taking the class. I originally heard that the class was fun and a great time killer elective and that I should totally take it. I couldn't take it freshman year so I started in sophomore year. My first movie was the one I submitted as my STAC application, "The Dream Catcher." I played a role in developing the plot, doing some camerawork and acting as a character in the movie as well as post production editing the movie. I played as the creepy main antagonist who is a soul following the main character and she has to kill her friends to get rid of the pain the catcher is causing her. I had a lot of fun making the movie and from that point on I took every TV class I possibly could. In my junior year I also directed some projects which were all non-serious comedy films and those were very fun to make. Over the years I have learned to love all three forms of art and wish to continue working with them for the rest of my high school days in STAC.
Next, I will start with my involvement in the Musicals at Herricks. My first show was back in sixth grade when I barely knew that I could even sing. That year I was just in the ensemble and for only two scenes but, I gained some knowledge and found a love for singing and acting that carries into this very day. After that, every chance I got, I joined any musical I could find and had a blast doing them all. Some of my other roles include Franz the Butler in "The Sound of Music," Mendel in "Fiddler on the Roof" and most recently, Mr. Bratt in "How to Succeed in Business without really trying."
Finally, I will describe my career as a singer. As mentioned above, I really gained a love for singing in sixth grade. Even though I fulfilled my art requirement by taking art the previous year, I still decided it would be fun to take chorus for fun. As I expected, taking chorus was very fun and I would take it again if i could. That same year, I tried out for chamber choir for 2013 and got in. Throughout that whole year, I learned many techniques and my vocal growth was outstanding according to my teachers.
